Zee Entertainment, in the wake of strategic adjustments following the Sony merger fallout, has initiated a restructuring process to enhance operational efficiency and refocus its business trajectory.

One of the significant changes involves the reorganization of the technology and data division, which has witnessed the departure of Nitin Mittal, the President overseeing this crucial aspect of the company's operations.

Mittal's resignation, accepted by Zee's Managing Director and CEO, Punit Goenka, marks a pivotal moment in the company's transformation journey.

In light of Mittal's departure, Zee Entertainment has announced an interim leadership arrangement, wherein key figures responsible for various facets of technology and data functions will now report to Amit Goenka, President of Digital Businesses & Platforms.

This temporary adjustment includes individuals such as Amrit Thomas, tasked with overseeing Data Science; Kishore Krishnamurthy, entrusted with Engineering; Bhushan Kolleri, handling Product development; and Vishal Somani, managing Enterprise and Content Technology.

This reshuffling comes in the wake of recent strategic manoeuvres within Zee's revenue vertical, which witnessed the resignation of Rahul Johri, who previously spearheaded the revenue and monetization efforts.

As part of the ongoing restructuring, Ashish Sehgal, the Chief Growth Officer responsible for Advertisement Revenue, will now directly report to Goenka.

This realignment underscores a concerted effort to maximize value for advertisers and adapt to the evolving dynamics of the broadcasting industry.

Zee Entertainment emphasizes that these organizational adjustments are geared towards streamlining operations, optimizing resource allocation, and fostering a productivity and quality excellence culture.

Goenka's proactive steps underscore a commitment to achieving a leaner and more cost-effective organizational structure, ensuring that Zee remains agile and responsive in a rapidly evolving market landscape.

These measures reflect Zee's determination to navigate challenges effectively and emerge stronger in the competitive media and entertainment domain.
