The expansion of credit has spread to all industries and has continued to rise at a double-digit rate. With uncontrolled external shocks, the domestic condition has fared well.

The highest real GDP growth in the world, 6.5%, is anticipated for FY2024. Despite some shocks from unfavourable climate change effects caused by the anticipated return of El Nino this year, inflation, which began the current fiscal year on a good note in April 4.70%, is predicted to stay in the moderate range. The outlook for food prices and growth in general, however, is brightened by the forecast of a record rabi food grain yield. We anticipate that the average CPI in FY2024 would be between 5% and 5.2%, down from 6.7% in FY2023, which will give regulators some much-needed comfort.
