Aldi Is Giving Away Four Free Mystery Grocery Boxes From June 22 to 25 in Its First-Ever Blind Box Promotion
The grocer will drop one themed box per day at noon ET on aldiblindbox.com, with quantities limited and no purchase required themes include Snack, Fiber, Protein, and a fully undisclosed Mystery box.
Aldi has announced its first-ever Blind Box promotion, a four-day limited-quantity giveaway running from June 22 to June 25, 2026, in which shoppers can claim free mystery grocery bundles delivered directly to their door no purchase necessary.
What the promotion is
Aldi announced it will release four different themed blind boxes as a "new way to turn everyday grocery shopping into something a little less predictable." The boxes will be available for a limited time, with a new box dropping each day from June 22 through June 25 at noon ET.
The boxes may include fan-favourite finds, everyday staples, and fresh picks from different aisles of the store. Aldi says the rise of surprise unboxings across beauty, fashion, and collectibles inspired the idea.

"The ALDI Blind Box taps into the excitement our fans already feel walking our aisles," said Bridget Kozlowski, director of communications for Aldi, in an official press release. "From viral ALDI Finds to tried-and-true products shoppers love to tell their friends about, people love the thrill of discovering something new here. With surprise unboxings more popular than ever, this is our way of helping customers discover even more favourites."
The four box themes
Aldi has described each of the four themed boxes as follows. The Snack Blind Box is described as "a craveable mix designed for grazing, perfect for mixing and matching to fit the cravings fans have all day long." The Fiber Blind Box is described as "a fiber-filled assortment that brings together gut-friendly staples and fresh picks that are easy on the stomach." The Protein Blind Box is described as being designed to keep "shoppers fueled, full, and ready" with protein-forward products and pantry staples.
The fourth box is the Mystery Blind Box the wild card of the promotion. Aldi has not revealed what will be inside it beyond describing it as a surprise. The specific products inside any of the four boxes have not been officially confirmed by Aldi ahead of their respective drop dates.
Which day each theme drops
Aldi will release the four themed Blind Boxes across June 22 to 25, with a new box dropping each day at noon ET. The Snack Blind Box is made for grazers, the Fiber Blind Box features gut-friendly staples, the Protein Blind Box is designed for protein-forward shoppers, and the Mystery Blind Box is the wild card. The specific order in which each theme will be released on each date has not been officially confirmed by Aldi. The company has directed shoppers to follow its Instagram account at @aldiusa for daily reveals of each box theme before the noon ET drop.
How to claim a free box
To claim a free Aldi Blind Box, shoppers should visit aldiblindbox.com beginning June 22 through June 25 at 12:00 PM ET each day, select that day's Aldi Blind Box, and enter their shipping information to receive the box delivered directly to their door.
The boxes are completely free, but quantities are limited and shoppers will need to move fast to claim one before supplies run out. Aldi has not officially confirmed how many boxes will be made available per day or per theme.
Why Aldi is doing this
Aldi cited the broader blind box trend which has exploded in popularity across beauty, collectibles, fashion, and toys as the direct inspiration for the promotion, framing it as a way to bring the same sense of surprise and discovery to grocery shopping.
The unique angle worth noting: Aldi's decision to price the boxes at zero rather than charge a nominal fee as most blind box promotions across beauty and collectibles do is an unusual structural choice. Free grocery delivery with no minimum purchase is itself a significant cost for any retailer. By absorbing that cost entirely, Aldi is effectively using the promotion as a product trial mechanism, betting that whatever ends up inside the box converts a first-time trier into a repeat buyer a strategy more commonly associated with sample box subscriptions like HelloFresh or Grove Collaborative than with a discount grocery chain running a limited four-day giveaway.
