The surge in share price, reaching a peak of Rs 1,118 on the NSE during intraday trading, was accompanied by substantial trading volumes, with nearly 17 lakh shares exchanging hands on the NSE by 11 am, amounting to a total traded value of Rs 179.23 crore.

The surge in trading volume, reaching 2.84 times the average, reflects the market's positive response to the joint venture.

Despite the recent surge prompted by the joint venture announcement, Tata Technologies shares have faced challenges in 2024, witnessing a decline of nearly 6% in their price.

However, the company's performance during its initial public offering (IPO) in November 2023 exceeded expectations, with its shares debuting at a significant premium of 140% above the issue price of Rs 500.

The IPO, amounting to Rs 3,042 crore, garnered overwhelming investor interest, with bids surpassing Rs 1.5 lakh crore, reflecting robust investor confidence in Tata Technologies' prospects.

Following its listing, Tata Technologies reported its first quarterly earnings in January, showcasing promising financial performance.
