Tata Power Company's shares saw an early morning rise on August 29 as its subsidiary, Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), signed a significant agreement for a 4.4-MW AC Group Captive Solar Plant. This development marked a positive stride for the company's renewable energy initiatives. The subsidiary entered a Group Captive Power Delivery Agreement (PDA) with the ANAND Group, paving the way for the generation of 10 million units of clean energy from renewable sources. This boost brought TPREL's total renewables capacity to an impressive 7,787 MW. This capacity includes operational and upcoming projects encompassing solar, wind, hybrid, and storage systems.
This is not the first time Tata Power has collaborated with the ANAND Group in the renewable energy space. Previously, they teamed up for a notable 10.1-MW Solar PV park power project situated in Maharashtra. The collaborative efforts of both entities contribute to the growth of sustainable energy solutions in the country.
In addition to its renewable energy endeavors, Tata Power has been actively fostering electric vehicle (EV) adoption. On August 24, Tata Power EV Charging Solutions Limited (TPEVCSL), another subsidiary of the Tata Power Group, entered into a significant partnership with Zoomcar, a prominent car-sharing platform. This partnership aims to promote widespread EV adoption by delivering a seamless and user-friendly charging experience for EV users across India. This step signifies Tata Power's commitment to supporting the transition towards cleaner mobility solutions.
Tata Power's proactive approach towards renewable energy projects, EV infrastructure, and sustainable initiatives has led to positive market sentiment. As of 9:50 am, Tata Power Company's shares were trading at Rs 248.00, marking an increase of Rs 3.00 or 1.22 percent on the BSE. This growth reflects the company's strategic efforts in driving both renewable energy and electric mobility in the country.
