Tata Power's stock is on the rise, hitting a new 52-week high of Rs 262.50 on September 5. This surge comes as Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), the company's renewable power arm, announced a significant development. TPREL has entered into a Power Delivery Agreement (PDA) with Neosym Industry, a prominent Gray & S.G. Iron casting manufacturing company.
Under this agreement, TPREL will supply power to the Neosym Industry from a 26 MW AC Group Captive Solar plant located in Jamkhed, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. This project is expected to generate approximately 59 million units of electricity annually and is scheduled to commence operations in March 2024.
This announcement follows a series of positive developments for Tata Power's renewable arm. Just a few days earlier, on September 2, TPREL signed a PDA for a captive project with Chalet Hotels, encompassing a 6 MW AC capacity. These recent agreements underscore Tata Power's commitment to expanding its renewable energy portfolio and providing sustainable power solutions.
In addition to these deals, TPREL has been actively pursuing renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, hybrid, round-the-clock, peak, floating solar, and storage systems, along with battery storage solutions. The company not only develops these projects but also operates and maintains them, ensuring the efficient utilization of renewable energy resources.
Furthermore, Tata Power's dedication to green energy extends beyond power generation. The company offers comprehensive green energy solutions tailored to both rural and urban areas. These solutions encompass turnkey services, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) capabilities, as well as operation and maintenance (O&M) services. Tata Power's focus on utility-scale projects, solar rooftop installations, and solar pump systems demonstrates its commitment to a sustainable and eco-friendly energy future.
Tata Power's stock performance reflects the positive sentiment surrounding its renewable energy initiatives. The company's shares have seen significant gains, with a 52-week high reached at Rs 262.50. Investors and industry observers are closely watching Tata Power as it continues to make strides in the renewable energy sector, contributing to India's transition to cleaner and more sustainable power sources.
