Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) saw a significant boost in its stock value after releasing robust Q4 results.

The stock surged nearly 4%, reflecting strong investor confidence. Over the past year, RVNL's stock has increased by an astonishing 922%, making it a standout performer among public sector undertakings (PSUs).

Despite a 5% drop in net profit to ₹359 crore compared to the same period last year, the company reported an EBITDA of ₹374.4 crore, an 8.3% decline from the previous year.

Total income for the quarter was ₹5,975.88 crore, down from ₹6,647.52 crore the year before, indicating a dip in revenue but maintaining a strong financial base.

RVNL's recent elevation to Navratna status is noteworthy, as it grants the company greater operational and financial autonomy.

This status is expected to enhance RVNL’s capability to secure larger projects and expand its operations beyond the railway sector into international markets.

In addition to its financial performance, RVNL's stock was bolstered by securing new projects.

These include a significant ₹440 crore contract for the South Central Railway and a ₹167.28 crore project for the South Eastern Railway.

These contracts are expected to contribute to the company's revenue and profitability in the coming quarters, further boosting investor confidence.

Overall, RVNL's impressive stock performance and strategic project acquisitions underscore its growing prominence in the infrastructure sector, making it an attractive option for investors seeking robust returns in the PSU space.
