Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) saw its share price rise by 3% on June 11, fueled by the announcement of two significant project wins.
In early trade, RVNL's stock was trading at Rs 386.05, marking an increase of Rs 12.25 or 3.28 percent on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The boost in RVNL's stock price came after the company emerged as the lowest bidder for a major project from Central Railway.
This project involves the modification of the Overhead Equipment (OHE) for upgrading the existing 1 x 25 kV electric traction system to a 2 x 25 kV AT feeding system in the Amla-Nagpur section of the Nagpur division.
This upgrade is crucial to meet a 3000 MT loading target. The project has an estimated cost of Rs 138.45 crore and is expected to be completed within 24 months.
In another development, the Siemens-RVNL Consortium received a Letter of Acceptance from Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd.
This project involves engineering, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 33 KV distribution system, 750V DC third rail traction electrification, traction substations, auxiliary substations, and a SCADA system for Phase-2A and Phase-2B of the Bangalore Metro.
The total cost of this project is Rs 394.24 crore plus €41.12 million, with RVNL holding a 30 percent share in the consortium and Siemens holding the remaining 70 percent.
Additionally, on June 7, the KRDCL-RVNL Joint Venture emerged as the lowest bidder for an automatic signaling project on the Ernakulam JN (ERS) - Vallattol Nagar (VTK) section of the Thiruvananthapuram division in Southern Railway. This project is valued at Rs 156.47 crore.
Moreover, RVNL has recently secured multiple other contracts. On June 6, the company was awarded an order worth Rs 495 crore from National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC).
On the same day, RVNL also won contracts worth Rs 515 crore from Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited and Eastern Railway for the construction of the Sitarampur bypass line under the Asansol division.
Earlier, on June 3, RVNL received a Letter of Acceptance from South Central Railway for an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) tender for the proposed doubling of the track between Ankai and Karanjgaon stations, including electrification and signaling works, as part of the Aurangabad-Ankai Doubling project in the Nanded Division of South Central Railway.
These multiple project wins underscore RVNL's strong position in the infrastructure sector and its capacity to undertake large-scale projects across various regions in India.
