PVR INOX, one of India's leading multiplex chains, has announced the opening of 15 new screens across two multiplexes, resulting in a 4% surge in its stock. The company has added 10 screens in Delhi and 5 screens in Ahmedabad, aligning with its long-term plans to accelerate screen expansion in key markets, according to a statement released by PVR INOX.
The newly launched multiplex in New Delhi, located at the Pacific Premium Outlets Mall on Jasola, Mathura Road, features the first-ever ScreenX theatre in North India. This revolutionary technology offers a panoramic viewing experience on three walls of the auditorium, spanning an impressive 270 degrees. Additionally, the multiplex showcases cinema formats such as Insignia, BIGPIX, and MX4D, ensuring a diverse and immersive movie-watching experience. With a total seating capacity of 1,629, the multiplex offers last-row recliners, advanced Laser Projection systems, Dolby Atmos surround sound, and 3D solutions.
In Ahmedabad, PVR INOX has opened its 35th property in Gujarat, located at Satyamev Emporio. Equipped with cutting-edge theatrical solutions, including the SP4K next-generation laser projectors, advanced Dolby surround sound, and Next-Gen 3D technology, the multiplex provides a state-of-the-art cinematic experience. With a seating capacity of 812, the property offers plush recliner seats for added comfort.

The expansion further strengthens PVR INOX's presence, with a total of 456 screens in 102 properties in North India and 297 screens in 69 properties in Central India. Since the merger, PVR INOX has opened 80 screens across 12 properties in 10 cities, demonstrating its commitment to growth and providing quality entertainment options to audiences. With a total of 1,697 screens across 360 properties in 114 cities (India and Sri Lanka), PVR INOX continues to solidify its position as a leading player in the multiplex industry.
The stock of PVR INOX closed the day at Rs 1438.30, up 4.48% on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), reflecting the positive market response to the company's expansion plans and growth prospects.
