Indian Hume Pipe Company, known for its engagement in the manufacturing of water supply, sewage, and irrigation pipes, as well as water management and sanitation infrastructure projects, experienced a substantial surge of 8 percent in its share value on August 18. Indian Hume Pipe revealed that it had secured a coveted letter of award (LoA) from the Government of Odisha. The task at hand involves the execution and maintenance of a rural piped water supply endeavor, which comes with a substantial valuation of Rs 639.16 crore.

According to the official exchange filing, the company shared that the order for this expansive water supply scheme was conferred by the Department of Rural Water Supply and Sanitation. The project's scope is particularly noteworthy as it encompasses six blocks within Puri District, situated in the state of Odisha. Indian Hume Pipe is expected to undertake the implementation of this crucial water supply initiative within two years.
