Brigade Enterprises' stock was in focus on March 25 after the company unveiled plans for a Rs 950-crore premium residential project in Whitefield, East Bengaluru. The real estate developer has acquired a 4.4-acre land parcel and will develop 0.6 million square feet of high-end residential space in one of Bengaluru’s most coveted locations.
However, despite the exciting project announcement, the company’s stock saw a decline of 1.35%, trading at Rs 980.3 at 12:00 pm, following an earlier dip of 1.5% in the day’s trading.
The new project is expected to bolster Brigade Enterprises’ portfolio and leverage Whitefield's strong infrastructure and connectivity, making it a prime investment opportunity for homebuyers. The development aligns with the company’s strategy to expand its presence in the luxury housing segment, which has been a focus of growth.
Pavitra Shankar, Managing Director of Brigade Enterprises, commented on the project, saying, "This initiative will enhance our portfolio while offering an exceptional living experience. The land's strategic location in Whitefield, with its robust infrastructure, fits perfectly with our vision for premium residential developments. We are confident that this project will set new benchmarks in the market."
In its Q3FY25 earnings report, Brigade Enterprises had announced a threefold increase in net profit to Rs 236 crore, up from the previous year. The company also saw a 27% growth in revenue from operations, which surged to Rs 1,530 crore, driven by strong sales and expansion in leasing activities. Additionally, the successful launch of premium projects like Brigade Gateway Hyderabad contributed significantly to the company's impressive growth trajectory.
