Her passing was confirmed by fellow content creator Drumsy, who announced the news on January 1, 2026 and shared how her health suddenly worsened during the Christmas period. 

Illy, whose real name was Katie, built a passionate community on platforms like Twitch and YouTube, where she streamed as a VTuber — using a digital avatar to interact with fans.
