What’s the Story This Time?

In Season 3, the discovery of an abandoned infant sets off a massive investigation. Vartika and her team uncover a trafficking network headed by “Badi Didi” — Huma Qureshi’s ruthless character — who is trafficking young girls across state lines. 

This narrative draws heavily from the Baby Falak case, making the plot disturbingly real.  The show doesn’t shy away from showing how deep this exploitation goes, or how bureaucratic and systemic failures allow it to persist.

The Big Twist: Delhi Crime 3 Ending Explained

In the final episodes, Vartika’s relentless pursuit leads to a climactic face-off with Meena (“Badi Didi”). The police track her to a shipping yard, where they find dozens of trafficked girls locked in a container. 

When Meena refuses to surrender, Vartika is forced to shoot — fatally wounding her. Despite Meena's twisted justification that she “saved” the girls, the season ends on a more hopeful note: 30 girls are rescued, and Meena dies after her ideology is exposed.  Khushi, the mother of one of the victims, is sent to a women’s shelter for counselling, and in a tearful moment, tells Vartika she doesn’t know “what you see in me.” Vartika replies simply, “Hope.” 

Reaction & Impact

The trailer and the season itself have triggered a wave of strong reactions. Huma Qureshi’s menacing turn as Badi Didi has drawn particular praise for its intensity. Meanwhile, audiences and critics are applauding the show for highlighting the grim realities of child exploitation and trafficking. 

Rasika Dugal, who plays Neeti, described one of her toughest scenes as emotionally devastating — even more so because it makes her character let go of something she deeply cares about.  And in a broader sense, Season 3 continues to solidify Delhi Crime’s reputation as one of India’s most powerful and socially conscious crime dramas.
