EaseMyTrip.com, a prominent online travel portal, has announced a strategic move into the burgeoning medical tourism sector through significant acquisitions.
On September 17, the company revealed that it has acquired stakes in two key players in the healthcare sector: Pflege Home Healthcare and Rollins International.
The travel platform has secured a 49 percent stake in Pflege Home Healthcare, a Dubai-based home healthcare provider.
Additionally, EaseMyTrip has purchased a 30 percent share in Rollins International, a company known for its presence in the gluten-free, lactose-free, and allergen-free food products and health supplements market.
These acquisitions are designed to align with EaseMyTrip's broader mission of integrating wellness and healthcare services into its travel solutions.
By doing so, the company aims to cater to the growing demand for comprehensive and accessible healthcare options for travelers.
Nishant Pitti, CEO and co-founder of EaseMyTrip, emphasized the importance of this expansion. "With the growing demand for accessible, quality healthcare services, this acquisition was necessary to meet the evolving needs of travelers seeking wellness and medical solutions.
The move comes at a time when the medical tourism industry is experiencing unprecedented growth. Valued currently at $7.69 billion, the sector is projected to reach $14.31 billion by 2029.
This rapid expansion highlights the increasing interest and need for integrated healthcare and travel solutions, further underscoring the strategic significance of EaseMyTrip’s recent acquisitions.
